Calogero Tulone in San Donà

Almost 17 hours of travel, just over 1500km distance San Donà di Piave from Sciacca, a town in the province of Agrigento from which comes the new setter of the Volley Team Club, born in 1996, Calogero Tulone.

Experience to sell and many years between A2, with Messaggerie Bacco Catania, and A3, with Avimecc Modica, Falu Ottaviano and Aurispa Libellula Lecce, in which he always showed off with excellent performances. In his last season with Lecce he made the playoffs after fourth place in the regular season which was followed by the passage of the round to the round of 16 against Tuscania and the defeat against the future winner Farmitalia Catania.

“It was one of the first goals evaluated with coach Moretti – explains Sports Director Eugenio Tassan – and we managed to bring San Donà one of the best setters in the Blue Group who did very well last time with Vaskelis, our old acquaintance. Technically it is very valid and equipped with an excellent serve, both spin jump and float jump, with which he put the opponent’s reception in serious difficulty, also winning many points. Personally, I found a very helpful person who immediately married our project for which there are the bases to do well”

“This will be my first year in the white group – Calogero tells us – so I’m even more motivated, I really want to do well and improve myself, for the team and for myself in order to make my name known also in the northern group Italy. Year after year, this A3 acquires more and more value, the clubs invest a lot and many top category players embrace the projects of the most ambitious clubs”.
