Directly qualified for the round of 32, Allianz Milano will have to wait for the match between Decospan VT MENEN (Belgium) and Epicentr – Podolyany HORODOK (Ukraine) to meet their first opponent for Cev Cup 2024. This is the outcome of the the ballot box after the draw which took place live from the European Broadcasting Center in Luxembourg (see the draw for all the European Volleyball Cups at this link).
The 32nd finals (first round) are scheduled between 24 and 26 October for the first leg and 31 October and 2 November for the second leg. Coach Roberto Piazza’s team, which, as mentioned, will come into play from the next round (round of 32) will have the two matches between November 21st and 23rd and the second leg between November 28th and 30th. Round-trip dates and times will be announced in the coming weeks based on the availability of gaming facilities and the needs of the television schedule. As for the opponents who came out of the urn, the Belgian team of VT Menen played the Champions League last year, clashing against Trento. There was practically no match despite the absence of the neo-Milanese Kaziyski among the Trentino players.
