Delta Group Porto Viro entrusts the keys to the second line to Davide Morgese: the athlete born in 1996, 170 centimeters tall, last season was with the Lupi di Santa Croce.

Born in Montecchio Emilia, in the province of Reggio, Morgese grew up in the youth academy of Polisportiva Campeginese, with which he then made his debut in B2 in 2013/2014. It only took him one year among the “seniors” to attract the attention of Volley Tricolore, who immediately wanted to catapult him onto the stage of Serie A2 Credem Banca. With the Conad shirt, Morgese played eight seasons in a row in the cadetteria, the last of which (2021/2022) represented the peak of his militancy in yellow and red: victory in the Italian Cup and promotion to the SuperLega (to which Reggio Emilia had to give up). Triumphs that Morgese shared with various elements today in Porto Viro, the playmaker Garnica, the central Zamagni, the second coach Mattioli.

Last summer, as mentioned, Morgese moved to the banks of the Arno, to Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, for what was his first experience away from home. With the Wolves he finished fourth in the regular season and reached the playoff semifinals, ousted by the battleship Vibo. A total of 31 seasonal appearances for the free Emilian, 108 sets played, 512 receptions with 29.8% perfects and the usual, invaluable contribution in defense.
