In the Semifinals on Tuesday 31 October, the Italian Champions of Itas Trentino will meet Sir Susa Vim Perugia in the match that will open the Final Four, while Cucine Lube Civitanova will face Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza: a place in Wednesday’s Final is up for grabs November 1st.

The words of the President of the Serie A Volleyball League Massimo Righi:

“We enthusiastically accepted the candidacy of the Municipality of Biella and I would like to thank the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for having wanted to host this important event of the Serie A Volleyball League, for their availability and for immediately guaranteeing an effective and great collaboration, in addition to sharing the strong positive values expressed by our sports movement. The success achieved by the pre-Championship tournament organized in Biella last season certainly deserved due credit to the concrete and passionate commitment of the local institutions, the Biellese Volleyball School and the other partners.

The Serie A Volleyball League continues to promote top-level volleyball, choosing to offer the great show of the SuperLega men’s volleyball events to a new audience, in cities where the Serie A teams are not already present, and collaborating in synergy with solid and passionate organizational realities of that territory. A splendid opportunity shared with enthusiasm by the four participating teams, who will play the Del Monte® Super Cup on a neutral field, enhancing the growth and diffusion of volleyball: a precise sign of our movement, which is constantly expanding”.

The joint note from the Mayor of Biella Claudio Corradino and the Deputy Mayor Giacomo Moscarola:

“We are honored and proud to be able to host in our city the best volleyball teams in our country who will compete to win this prestigious trophy. This event will be a unique opportunity to demonstrate our hospitality, passion for sport and the organizational skills that distinguish us. After the very positive experience of the ‘Volley Sotto al Mucrone’ tournament organized by the Biellese Volleyball School, the SPB – City of Biella union was further strengthened to the point of requesting the possibility of organizing the Super Cup.

Volleyball is one of the most loved and followed sports in Italy, and it is a source of great satisfaction to see the Serie A Volleyball League choose Biella for this important trophy. It will be a great opportunity for our young athletes to get inspired and for sports enthusiasts to experience moments of great emotion.

I want to thank Lega Pallavolo Serie A for giving us this extraordinary opportunity and our main partner Scuola Pallavolo Biellese for their precious commitment in organizing this event.

It will be a moment of celebration for the city and a great showcase for making everyone aware of the best that Biella has to offer. I invite all citizens of Biella to actively participate in this event, to demonstrate our attachment to sport and to make this event a real success. We are ready to warmly welcome teams and fans from all over Italy, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere”.
