An ErmGroup San Giustino better than that of Macerata and won 3-1 in the joint training session on Saturday 16 September in Bologna against the Geetit of the former Alessio Sitti, who will not be opponents of the biancazzurri in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship. Beyond the relative weight that the result may have in this period (we must always keep this in mind), what matters is the progress highlighted by a team that in the first two sets was able to field a Stanislaw Wawrzynczyk who was still not at 100% physically. The Polish spiker (7 points) therefore managed his presence in the best possible way, first of all avoiding not forcing unnecessarily, while the opposite Simone Marzolla once again stood out with 15 points and with a significant 58% of prolificacy in attack . After winning the first set by a narrow margin (25-23), in the second the ErmGroup took command of operations from the start, closing at 25-21; in the third, however, it was the Emilians who ran away, then caught up, but were able to come out on top in the end 25-23. New 25-21 for San Giustino in the fourth quarter, which featured the group’s excellent second lines. “I asked the boys to show more competitive spirit: the result was better – commented coach Marco Bartolini – and we managed to take the field with the 6+1 we had in mind to try; Wawrzynczyk played in position 4, with Cioffi in the libero role instead of Marra, who we hope to include in the current week. They started off well on serve, making the most of their individual qualities: on the other hand, Bologna’s team is an excellent team and thanks also to the strong spiker Sacripanti our opponents took off; I then give credit to the boys for having remained calm and, after a not so good start, we slowly managed to stay together (another aspect that I liked) and to catch up with them, imposing our pace and limiting errors to a minimum. They had to risk a little more, making some mistakes and we took the first set after we had immediately come back from 23-19 in our favor. At this juncture we lacked the necessary push because we were thinking more about managing the last few balls, but then we did it and we also needed this psychologically. We dominated the second set with greater ease: we managed to impose our game and stay ahead; Bologna came back by forcing a bit from nine meters, but at that point we responded better.
