The extension of the contract between Gironi and Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza was signed in recent days to the great satisfaction of both parties. In the season that has just ended, the red and white spiker / opposite has collected between Regular Season, Coppa Italia, Play Off Scudetto, 3rd Place Final and Cev Volleyball Cup. He took to the field on forty-seven occasions, played 90 sets, scoring 82 points, 11 aces and 7 walls.

Two meters tall, born in Vimercate Fabrizio Gironi approached the sport playing football which he then left to start playing volleyball. He completed his growth path with Volley Segrate playing in Serie C, B2 and B, putting himself in the spotlight and Milan brought him to the SuperLega. He stayed in Milan for two seasons before moving to Taranto where he won the A2 championship and played in the SuperLega the following year. Last summer he arrived at the court of President Elisabetta Curti’s club as a spiker and then changed his role and became an opposite.
