The last effort of the season is approaching for the Block Devils expected on Saturday evening at 19:30 in Pian di Massiano from the final of the Playoff Challenge against Vero Volley Monza, a match that closes the sporting year and which assigns a place in the Challenge Cup 2023-2024. Physical work in the weight room and reception on the pitch this morning, technical training is scheduled for the afternoon to sort out the latest technical-tactical issues. Tomorrow afternoon technical work and tactical study, Saturday morning the last finishing touch is scheduled.
Coach Anastasi’s words on Saturday night’s match:
“Wasn’t that the final we wanted to play? I think it’s time to focus on what’s in front of us and not what’s behind us. We must be aware of the fact that Saturday’s match has an important value, it is a final where the two teams that have shown something more in this tournament will be on the field, that is us and Monza who honestly made a good group stage and deserved to to get to the decisive match. I am very happy to play this match in Perugia. It will be the last race of the season, my last race here in Perugia and I think we will have fun on Saturday. I hope that the public responds presently, I hope that people want to come and say hello and to come and say hello to a team that has done very well over the course of a year and at the same time certainly not well in a specific period of the season. But we must also be positive and take the good things that sport gives us.”
