“When the opportunity arose to come and play in Grottazzolina I didn’t think about it for a minute.” This is how Fabrizio Ferraguti introduces himself, the new purchase of Yuasa Battery who has decided to shore up his staff by taking advantage of a favorable market situation to ensure the sporting performance of a boy looking for new stimuli.

Born in Modena, born in 1995 and 195 centimetres, Ferraguti’s story is very particular, having started with volleyball at a very late age compared to the vast majority of his colleagues. A competitive swimmer until the age of 21, after finishing his sporting career in water he approached volleyball thanks to his father’s immense passion for this sport. And from there, a continuous and very steep escalation that took him, in a handful of seasons, from the regional Serie C to the Serie A3, thus appearing on the threshold of professionalism. His is a path that up until now has always had the same common denominator: Parma. Since his debut in 2016, he has spent four seasons in Serie C between Eureka Volley and Energy, with whom he appears in Serie B for the first time in 2021-22. Just one season, and he immediately jumped to A3 with Wimore Parma, teammate and teammate of the former Grotese player Alex Reyes. After an excellent season which ended in the playoffs, this year the club moved to Salsomaggiore Terme due to the impossibility of continuing to use the glorious PalaRaschi. The move to the spa city, however, brings with it a clear reduction in ambitions for the yellow and blue club, and after a difficult start the time has come for Ferraguti to try and look for new stimuli. Stimuli that he found from the first moment in which he learned of the possibility of enriching his path with a further leap in category: “For me it has always been a dream to be part of such a prestigious team – continues Fabrizio – and I hope to be able to grow a lot on a technical level by trying to learn as many things as possible both from the technical staff and from my teammates.”
