Third consecutive season with the ErmGroup San Giustino jersey for the libero Gian Marco Cioffi, born in 2000 and 175 centimeters tall, who coach Marco Bartolini has repeatedly used even outside this role to insert him in serve and the youngster from Città di Castello he managed in the last championship – as well as making his debut in Serie A3 – also to place an ace, scoring a point in the category. In the second part of the year, however, Cioffi returned to his free-lance duties, playing as a starter in the victorious match in Parma, then largely at home against Mirandola and finally in the last match in Garlasco. In short, he was able to take advantage of the opportunities that came his way. “The club, which is growing more and more – said Cioffi – offered me everything possible, so I had little to think about, especially since this year a truly competitive team was set up. The only question – so to speak – that I asked myself then was the following: why not continue and with even stronger stimuli? Moreover, having a high-level team ten minutes away from home and being at ease in an environment is a fortune that certainly not everyone has”. How are you with Davide Marra, with whom you have been a teammate for some time now? “Very good: he is libero (and what a libero!), even if I always do my best. Davide is also a driving force both in the match and in training: he doesn’t get the ranks of captain by chance”.
