Gianluca Galassi will continue to be one of the leading athletes of Vero Volley Monza. Born in 1997, nominated best centre-back in the 2022 World Cup won by Italy, the number 11 will live his fifth consecutive season with the Monza team’s shirt, the third between Italy, in SuperLega Credem Banca, and Europe, in the CEV Challenge Cup.

Galassi ended the 22/23 season with crazy numbers, in some cases the best of his career in the top flight. Rossoblù’s best blocker (60 blocks, previous best in the 15/16 season with 57), among the best at bats (24 aces, since it allowed him to improve on his record of 22, also achieved in the 2015/2016 season), the Trentino center back, author of 256 total points, is chasing other prestigious goals for the Lombard club together with his teammates. Among the protagonists of the victory of the CEV Cup 2021 in Tours, the first continental title in the men’s sector for Vero Volleyball, Galassi has so far been among the top players of the last, satisfying seasons of the Brianza area. Not only the fourth place in the regular season and the Scudetto Semifinal played in 20/21, but also the first Italian Supercoppa Final reached in 21/22. Monza will therefore still be able to count on his experience and effectiveness, especially in the offensive phase (59.2% in attack in his history in the SuperLega).
