It had been since the time of the Gelasio-Butti duo in the 2010/2011 season (they were the debut years of a very young Luca Butti in Libertas, and the triumphant first promotion to Serie A2) that there hadn’t been a return to a real Red for the uniforms of the Liberi, at the Pool Libertas Cantù, except for a single season appearance, in 2015/2016 with the Butti-Rudi pairing.
“It was a purely aesthetic choice and contrast with the shirts of the rest of the team, while maintaining all the corporate sponsors – says our Designer and Marketing Manager Giovanni Indorato -. This year we have not favored the colors of the partners, but we wanted return to a ‘Red Wine Passion’ that was greatly appreciated, and welcomed with enthusiasm by our two Liberi. Luca Butti and Matteo Picchio will thus wear the same uniforms, and the combinations will be linked to the color of the uniform in which the team will play. it is a color of Fire and Passion, the same that our ‘Safety’ (to use American Football jargon) put on every ball on the pitch. I am sure that the chromatic choice and the degradé, both at home and away, will in the hearts of the fans” concludes Giovanni.
The official debut of the uniforms will take place on Sunday 15 October 2023 on the occasion of the first championship match, which will take place against the newly promoted WOW Green House Aversa at the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate con Bernate (CO).
