“Champions of the good life: sporting excellence”. The project of the ANT foundation (National Tumor Assistance) arrives at the Eurosuole Forum to involve the staff and athletes of Cucine Lube Civitanova. This morning, Tuesday 5 September, some national representatives of the ANT reached the coastal palas. The time to set up a television set in the playing field and the clapperboard gave way to four interviews focused on the combination of sport, healthy lifestyles and proper nutrition. The red and white coach Chicco Blengini, the athletic trainer Max Merazzi and the players Ivan Zaytsev and Jacopo Larizza took turns in front of the cameras. The footage will be included in a larger container, with the help of other sports realities, and will be made public in the coming months to raise awareness among families. A very important initiative, given that the cradle of the Mediterranean diet has a negative record, that of the highest percentage of childhood and adolescent obesity in Europe.

Cristina Gasperini (Promotion of the ANT Marche area): “We are honored to have the support of Lube. We want to share our message with sporting excellence and champions of the good life. The red and white staff and players can stimulate the kids to embark on healthy life paths through sport and proper nutrition. As has been the case for years, during the Christmas period we will launch the project of the basket of food and wine excellences of the Italian regions. Sport and nutrition have always been a perfect combination and, through this initiative, we want to promote local products and the sporting talents that represent it. Virtuous examples like these are indispensable for young people.

Ivan Zaytsev (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “Adolescent obesity is catching on. We need to understand the dynamics behind such problems because they could be genetic. When, on the other hand, it is an inadequate lifestyle that does damage, we must realize that we live in a beautiful country, the cradle of the Mediterranean diet, with the possibility of daily access to healthy raw materials of the highest quality. All of this must go through parental education also from a food point of view. The ideal is to put our children in a position to have a balanced diet at the table without ever neglecting sporting activity. We athletes have the spotlight on us and many kids consider us role models to follow.
