After the encouraging second place obtained in Casalgrande during the eight-team ACLI tournament held on Sunday 12 November, last weekend the regional Sitting Volleyball championship took place in Formigine.
The gialloblù are placed in group A with Cedacri Parma and the defending champions Pianoterra Ravenna. The group’s two matches proved to be very close, with Modena achieving two successes in the tie-break and taking first place thanks to the set coefficient.
In the semi-final the opponent is Sitting Volley Campegine, clearly overcome by the gialloblù who therefore fly to the final. The last act pits Modena against Sitting Volley Club Cesena, a tough team capable of putting the Canaries in difficulty, with the latter doing well to get the upper hand and therefore take home the title.
This victory represents great satisfaction for the yellow-blue club, starting from coach Ivo Parmiggiani who over time has been able to build a young and ambitious team with a bright future ahead of it. For the boys of Modena Sitting Volley this is the first regional title since 2018, the year of the foundation of the team born from the desire to believe in a project of inclusiveness.
The next match will be the Pordenone tournament which will be held on Sunday 26 November, where Modena will present itself as the title holder.
