Sir Susa Vim Perugia returned to work this morning.
The Block Devils, under the orders of coach Lorenzetti and his staff, started the sixth week of preparation. A full week for the Bianconeri with two days of double sessions and double joint training.
We start tomorrow afternoon at around 5pm at PalaBarton against Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, a very interesting and very young A2 series team, but led on the pitch by two athletes of great experience and quality like the former Azzurri Manuel Coscione, class director ’80, and Simone Parodi, spiker born in ’86.
We continue on Wednesday afternoon, always starting around 5pm and always at the PalaBarton, against coach Graziosi’s Emma Villas Siena, also an A2 series team already faced by Colaci and his teammates last week when they made a good impression in particular with the diagonal formed by the French director Nevot and the Brazilian opposite Krauchuk.
Two important opportunities for Lorenzetti to test the physical condition of his boys and to test on the field the technical and tactical work carried out in the last few days in training, in particular as regards the sideout phase and the blocking-defence correlation. The Juventus technical staff, as always at this stage of the season, will have to do without the athletes involved with their respective national selections in the Olympic qualifiers (starting from 30 September) and will draw liberally from the boys from the Juventus youth sector.
Assistant coach Massimiliano Giaccardi:
“We will have two friendly tests in which our objective is to put on the field and express in a match against an opponent the technical issues and tactical situations that we are training and on which we are working every day. I’m talking about the line we want to follow at a tactical level in the block-defense correlation and I’m talking about the serve, both as a containment of direct errors and as an increase in efficiency. The young people are giving us a big help, they have grown a lot and we are happy with how they are doing in the gym every day.”
