Youth at the center, in every sense. Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that also in the 2023/24 sports season Lorenzo Rainero will wear the blue and white shirt, engaged for the third consecutive year in Serie A3 Credem Banca.

Born in 2002, “Lollo” grew up in volleyball in Cavallermaggiore, where he remained until the Under 14s, then a year in Savigliano in the Under 16s, before moving to Cuneo, with which he made his Serie A2 debut in 2021/22. Since 2022/23 he has returned home, in a team that, almost closing a circle, plays his home games in that Cavallermaggiore that has seen him grow.

Starting as a youngster on the launch pad, Rainero soon became a point of reference in the central department of the sextet led by coach Lorenzo Simeon, scoring 120 points in the 26 matchdays of the championship.

“I chose to stay in Savigliano because I found myself very well here, I believe in the project that the club is pursuing and I am sure that next year we will have all the credentials to repeat ourselves and, why not, try to improve the results obtained in our unforgettable 2022/23. Personally, I also believe that this is the ideal square for me to be able to improve further. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch!” – Lorenzo’s words after the confirmation.

All of Volley Savigliano wishes Lorenzo that he can take away many more satisfactions in white and blue, starting from the sports season that we can’t wait to start together. Come on Savian!
