“In the next sports season we will play the Serie A2 championship and our team, led by the executive vice president Fabio Mechini, will have Gianluca Graziosi as coach”. The announcement came from the words of the President of Emma Villas Volley Siena, Giammarco Bisogno, on the occasion of the press conference held this morning. A meeting with the press that was useful to take stock of the situation of the white and blue team in view of the next sporting season.
Fabio Mechini has been with the club for many years, he will lead the team and organization in the overall development of the club throughout the championship as Executive Vice President and Sporting Director. Together with him as marketing manager & relations with sponsors there will be Vittorio Angelaccio who already collaborated in the last edition with the Sienese club in this role.
The figure of the coach joins the management, and it is a return: Gianluca Graziosi was in fact already coach of the Sienese training in the 2019-2020 season. A year, that, which saw the Sienese team for a long time in the first position of the A2 championship standings. The tournament, however, was not concluded due to the spread of the Covid pandemic. From the following year and until a few weeks ago, Graziosi was then the coach of Bergamo. “He is a very good technician – declared the President of Emma Villas Volley Siena – and he knows the square. We had an excellent experience with him, we were first in the standings in the 2019-2020 season when the championship was blocked. We have great faith in him.”
Emma Villas Volleyball therefore restarts from coach Graziosi. On the market, the President Giammarco Bisogno declared: “Milan, Krauchuk, Nevot and Copelli are Emma Villas players. We also have young players who can be part of the roster, I’m thinking of Fontani, Pellegrini, Gonzi. There will also be Sienese among the staff, ours will be a very territorial project”.
The club is also moving on many other fronts. This is how President Bisogno spoke of the issue of facilities and the arena: “We are carrying out evaluations in this regard – were the words of the top white-blue manager. – The theme will also be the subject of considerations in the coming weeks. We have started discussions with the Sienese institutions and we intend to continue the dialogue also with the next municipal administration “.
