Apulian by origin, Dolomite by adoption: Alessandro Stufano is one of the five confirmed in the very renewed Belluno Volley team. Yes, Belluno: now his second home. «I really like this environment, I felt at ease straight away – confirms the centre-back -. Consequently, I am happy to continue my volleyball career at the Spes Arena. Maybe in a small percentage, but I also feel a bit Belluno.”

UNDERSTANDING WITH “MACCA” – Having arrived last season from the Serie B championship, and specifically from Gioia del Colle, the 20-year-old middle blocker immediately conquered everyone and climbed the hierarchies, leveraging his desire to constantly improve and never give up: in training, as well as in the game. Furthermore, in addition to making himself heard on the wall, he soon found a great understanding with Maccabruni. And in attack it often proved to be a factor: “Now we have the task of giving our best and this will lead each of us to grow even from an individual point of view.”

FOUR POTENTIAL STARTERS – The center backs are large and high quality: «There are four of us and we can all play. How do I live in such a situation? With peace of mind, all I have to do is push as hard as I can. And in any case the championship will be for a long time: there will be those who will have more or less space, depending on the moment. Furthermore, internal competition helps you train in the best way.”

DIALECT – Another Apulian stands out in the centre: Piergiorgio Antonaci. «But we don’t speak in dialect – smiles Stufano – because he is from Lecce, I from Bari. And there are different nuances. Beyond the jokes, I get along very well with Piergiorgio: there is a good feeling, as well as with all my teammates. Having a fellow countryman in the group is truly a pleasure. And it makes me feel more at home.” While waiting for their debut in the championship (15 October against Cus Cagliari), the rhinos raise the engine speed. And they continue to work hard, under the vaults of the Spes Arena: «I hope we will be able to have fun – concludes Stufano – and get some satisfaction».
