Plus Volleyball completes the staff, choosing Tony Bove as second coach. Born in 1962, after a life as a central manager, he moved on to sit on prestigious benches. Among the experiences of his very long curriculum as a coach, how not to mention the four years, 2010 /2014, spent at the helm of Serapo Volley, a team from his hometown, which under his supervision landed from series C to series B1, a goal never achieved first from the south pontine club. Immediately following is the experience in 2014 with Caffè Aiello Corigliano in Serie A2, where he held the role of second coach under coach Daniele Ricci, who he succeeded as head coach in 2015, the year in which the Calabrian team came close to being promoted to SuperLega, faded only in the final. The technical expert from Gaeta didn’t stop there, in fact we must also remember his experience in Sardinia with the VBA Sant’Antioco in Serie B1.

Tony, you will play a dual role in Sabaudia, won’t you?

Yes, in addition to the commitment of second coach of the first team, I will lead the youth sector, i.e. the under 17 and under 19, with a view to creating a fertile nursery for Sabaudia, which can in the future serve as a real reservoir of talent for the entire company.

Do you know coach Giombini?

Yes, I have closely followed his career first as a player and then as a coach. I think he’s the right person to lead Sabaudia in a season that promises to be difficult due to the quality of the participating teams and the athletes involved.

What do you think of the team selected by the club?

“I observe an excellent general level. There are certainly very experienced players such as Antonio De Paola, whom I know personally, and much younger players, such as the opposite left-handed Simone Crolla, who I am sure will have the right opportunity to grow thanks to the comparison with these more experienced athletes”.
