Bulgarian setter, born in 1991, 198 centimeters tall and with a lot of experience behind him. This is the identikit of Dobromir Dimitrov who will be available to Coach Nunzio Lanci tomorrow.

Dobromir Dimitrov was born in Pazardžik on 7 July 1991 and began his career at a very young age in 2007 with Pirin Balkanstroy, a club for which he played for five seasons and with which he made his debut in the Superliga, the Bulgarian top flight. In 2010 he made his debut for the national team and, in 2012, took part in the London Olympics.

In the following years, Dobromir played in several European clubs. He arrives in Italy for the first time, playing the 2015/16 season in the Super League with Sir Safety Perugia. He remains only one year in Umbria but will return to the boot for the 2018/2019 season among the ranks of Pag Taviano in Serie A2. Just as popular wisdom teaches with its motto of “there are no twos without threes”, Dobromir’s third time in the Bel Paese will therefore be among the ranks of the Sieco Service Impavida Ortona.

«We have every chance of achieving salvation», says the newly Fearless Dobromir, “Dobri” to his friends. «You must never, ever lose hope and it is important to do your utmost also to boost the morale of the team. I learned that the team has had bad luck with many injuries but with patience we will be able to recover everyone and when we are at one hundred percent it can only get better and better. I remember playing against Sieco years ago, when I was in Taviano. Ortona has prominent names in its workforce and the fact that the team has to face a difficult challenge to achieve salvation can only give me more motivation and I won’t deny that the prospect energizes me. I hope to bring and pass on my experience within the team and with the right commitment I am convinced that everything will go well.”
