Cisterna Volley is about to begin its adventure at the NAS Sports Tournament in Dubai, the exhibition event in which coach Guillermo Falasca’s team is about to play in the United Arab Emirates. The teams participating in the volleyball tournament have been named in Arabic: Cisterna Volley will be called Aljawareh, Padova Emperor, Zabeel 2 will be Modena while Foodwood Zabeel is the mixed selection between athletes from Catania and Taranto, but the there are eight teams in total. Cisterna Volley Aljawareh will debut tomorrow evening (Saturday) at 9.15pm, when in Italy it will be 6.15pm.

The Pontini’s opponents at their debut on the pitch in Dubai will be Hms, a team made up of Libyan players in which the Polish Bartosz Krzysiek also plays, opposite of the Ajman Sports Club, in the Emirates, but who also has a past in Italy where he played for two seasons at the Delta Group Porto Viro, together with him also the Venezuelan Maximo Montoya, the Dominican Tabi Santana and the Belarusian athlete Radzuik.

On Monday evening, March 25th, at 11.15pm United Arab Emirates time, Cisterna Volley Aljawareh will play its second match against Modena while on Wednesday 27th March, at 9.15pm, the Cisterna Volleyball team will face the team called The King which is a mega-mix between players from the Emirates, also including Iranians, Lebanese, Australians and with them also the Germans Rosler and Tim Grozer (Georg’s brother) and the Cuban spiker born in 1991, with an Italian passport, Yosvany Hernandez Cardonell who in Italy he played in Monza.

The volleyball event, scheduled at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, is part of a broader program that also includes other sports: from padel to cycling, fencing, obstacle course racing and many others.

Thanks to this event, the Cisterna Volley delegation will be able to enter a new environment for the Cisterna Volleyball colors and, at the same time, open up to a prestigious catwalk in a world that invests so much in sport. This event will be an opportunity to prepare for the play-offs for fifth place which will begin in April and which will give away a place in the next Challenge Cup.
