Each season, the Cuneo project promotes talented young players from the white-and-blue youth sector to the first team, continuing the development of Fiöi Cuneo Volley. This season, after two seasons in the Cuneo Foresteria, middle blocker Emanuele Barberio, a 202 cm (6’1″) athlete from the Aosta Valley, born in 2007 and captain of the Under-19 team that won the regional championship and was ranked in the top 10 nationally, is moving up to the SuperLega.

The announcement was made official this evening during the press conference held at the headquarters of the white-and-blue partner, Sames Antincedio.

Sports Director Paolo Brugiafreddo introduced Emanuele’s promotion: “With Emanuele, our Fiöi’s integration into the first team continues. He has great physical qualities, and if he perseveres in his technical work, he could become a highly sought-after prospect. As with Giraudo and Colasanti, we will follow his progress in the coming years.”
