Fifth and final day of the Play Off round 5th place in the SuperLega championship Credem Banca e Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, after four consecutive victories, takes to the field tomorrow, Wednesday 17 April, (8.30pm live on Volleyballworld.tv, Radio Sound and Sportpiacenza.it) at PalabancaSport, opponent Cucine Lube Civitanova.
Already certain of playing the Semi-final on Monday 22 April (8.30 pm) in front of the friendly public, Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza with Civitanova is looking for that victory that would guarantee it to maintain first place in the rankings and be able to play the eventual Final at PalabancaSport.
Six teams participate in the 5th Place Play Offs: Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, Cucine Lube Civitanova, Rana Verona and Valsa Group Modena who emerged losers from the Quarter Finals of the Scudetto Play Offs, as well as Cisterna Volley and Pallavolo Padova, ninth and tenth in the standings respectively at the end of the Regular Season.
The six teams are playing a one-way round robin which includes five matches for each team. The 4 best teams play in the Semifinals and Final in a single match at the home of the best ranked team at the end of the tournament.
Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza and Cucine Lube Civitanova have faced each other eleven times in the Regular Season and Del Monte Coppa Italia: Piacenza won two, Cucineri won nine. This season they faced each other twice in the Regular Season and once in the Semi-final of the Del Monte Super Cup: one victory for each side in the Regular Season, victory for Lube in the Del Monte Super Cup.
