Emma Villas youth sector highlighted in recent weeks. The Under 19 team coached by Marco Monaci became territorial champions, then won the championship played for the provinces of Siena and Arezzo, and will now go on to face the best regional teams in the category. A great satisfaction for the coach, who is also an assistant coach in the first team, and for the entire Sienese club which continues to focus on the growth of its young people.

The Sienese youth sector has borne good fruit in recent times. This season, the first team roster includes the 19-year-old spiker Federico Pellegrini, who is a product of the academy and who after playing the Junior League has permanently joined the group coached by coach Gianluca Graziosi. Also in the first team this year are the setter Azaria Gonzi, another product of the Sienese youth sector, who after leaving the white and blue “cantera” had various experiences in A2 and A3 before returning to Emma Villas. And then there is the opposite Mattia Picuno, who last year played in the Sienese Serie D team. On the bench, assisting coach Graziosi, there are two coaches who have done very well in the Sienese youth sector: Marco Monaci and Alessandro Bridge bridges. In short, there is a connection between the youth sector and the first team which is working profitably in this period.

Emma Villas also stood out for the organization of the first Giuliano Lisi Memorial. The tournament was organized in the municipal gym of Castelnuovo Berardenga and saw the Under 15 teams of Lube Civitanova Marche, Sir Perugia, Torretta Livorno and Emma Villas Siena take to the field. The event was won by Lube, who defeated Perugia in the final. Siena finished third, ahead of Torretta Livorno. Mattia Penna, Lube volleyball player, was judged MVP of the event. There was a good participation in the tournament, in which many young Italian volleyball talents were highlighted.

As regards the youth sector, the Sienese club has also strengthened the agreement with the Firenze Ovest club. The intent is to develop the nurseries of the two realities and to also develop collaborations between the coaches of the two clubs. The relationship between the Sienese and Florentine clubs continues with the aim of making the young people of the two clubs grow as best as possible.
