The eighth round of the second round, the nineteenth overall, of the 2023/24 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season will be played entirely on Wednesday 14 February. After three weeks of waiting, the men’s Itas Trentino will take to the field again in front of their fans, hosting the Cucine Lube at the IlT Daily Arena in Trento: it is the remake of the 2023 Scudetto Final. Kick-off scheduled for 8.30 pm ; live on RAI Sport, Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World TV platform.
HERE ITAS TRENTINO The Italian champions face their first home match of February, challenging the team that contested their last championship until game 5. The double 3-0 away win achieved in the first part of the month allowed the yellow-blues to gain an important margin over second place in the standings (still occupied by Perugia, now eight points away) and to be able to approach the final phase of the regular season with even greater serenity and awareness of their means.
“The match against Civitanova has always been a high-ranking classic of the Italian championship – coach Fabio Soli presented the match as follows -. Cucine Lube, thanks to the many successes achieved in the last period, is fully in the running for at least third place in the standings and in the Champions League it has secured its ticket to the quarter-finals, winning its group well in advance. For these reasons, a match awaits us which I expect will be very close, in the presence of a team full of talent and which, as such, can make life difficult for any opponent. For our part, we are happy to be able to play in front of our fans again, confident that the support of our fans will guarantee us a great boost. The appointment will require a determined, quality and continuous performance in all fundamentals.”
The Trentino coach has no particular training problems: for Wednesday’s match he will be spoiled for choice, being able to count on the traditional seven starters but also all the other members of the squad, some of whom appeared in excellent condition already last Saturday in Catania (D’Heer, Magalini and Acquarone). Preparation for the match will be completed with training this afternoon and with the finishing training on Wednesday morning. On this occasion, Trentino Volley will play match number 1,024 in its men’s history, the twenty-eighth of the 2023/24 season in which up to now it has collected twenty-three victories; eleven of these are housewives.
