Jacopo Tosti, middle blocker of Cisterna Volley, has won the 2024 Milita Award, an award that celebrates the excellence of regional volleyball awarded by FIPAV Lazio.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday 11 December in the evocative setting of the Foro Italico Tennis Club in Rome, in the presence of the main sporting and political authorities. Among those present: Giuseppe Manfredi, Federal President; Luciano Cecchi, federal vice president; Andrea Burlandi, President of the Lazio Regional Committee; and prominent institutional representatives such as Svetlana Celli, President of the Capitoline Assembly, and many other figures from the regional and national sporting and political scene.
Tosti, born in 2008, was rewarded for an extraordinary competitive year, which saw him as a protagonist with the blue shirt and with Cisterna Volley. The Roman central defender won, as a starter, the gold medal at the Under 17 World Championships and the European Under 18 silver, confirming himself as one of the most promising young players in Italian volleyball. At just 16 years old, Tosti is already the youngest player in the Credem Banca Super League, where he is playing his second season together with the champions of the top flight. A result that enhances the commitment and work carried out by Cisterna Volley and Marino Pallavolo, companies that collaborate in the “Together we are stronger” project for the growth and development of young talents.
