A working Easter Monday for Sir Susa Vim Perugia.
After last night’s success at PalaBarton in game 1 of the playoff semi-final against Allianz Milano, the Block Devils are already this afternoon at Pian di Massiano for technical training under coach Lorenzetti. Technical session also tomorrow morning, then in the early afternoon the departure for Milan where race 2 is scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Allianz Cloud at 8.30pm.
Game 1 ends with the impressions of Max Colaci and Angelo Lorenzetti.
“A warning to the sailors, I hope to get to game 5 – says Lorenzetti – so we can immediately clarify things with everyone because Milan has an acquired mentality and game, it is a team that does not care about external factors and moves forward for his path. Game 2 we must not take for granted that it will be another battle, we must be good now at studying the match well and having a good personality. Yesterday we slowed down a bit in attack because this opponent forces you to always do things well. We saved ourselves with the joke and it fits. They have margins, now let’s see if we have them too and where we have them.”
So instead the black and white libero.
“A playoff semi-final in Italy, regardless of the opponent on the other side of the net, is a difficult semi-final. Plus we know Milan and its qualities well, we expected a long and complicated match and so it was. This is only the first point for us, the series is still long, we’ll be playing again in two days and that’s fine. The public? I’ve said it a thousand times that our public always helps us, we need it especially when we’re going down. In the third set and at the beginning of the fourth we experienced some complicated moments and right there the crowd was decisive and gave us a big hand.”
