Second consecutive victory for Rana Verona, who leaves no escape for Valsa Group Modena at the Pala AGSM AIM, snatching the full result with a clear 3-0 and rising to 10 points in the 5th Place Play Off group standings. A lightning-fast start for Coach Stoytchev’s team, which took advantage of the positive wave left by the success in Civitanova and immediately imposed its game. Dragged by Amin and Keita, the Scaligeri detached their opponents and with a touch from the Iranian they broke the deadlock. Second half which reflects what we saw previously, with Spirito and his teammates in control of the pitch at all times, evading the opponents’ attempts. In the third set, Modena rises again above all with Davyskiba’s shots and the match becomes balanced. Verona, however, keeps his nerve, puts his face forward again and puts the seal on the challenge with Keita’s pipe. The Malian was awarded MVP of the match thanks to the 19 points he scored, with 2 aces and a block. Among the guests, the best scorer was the former player Sapozhkov with 13 balls put on the ground.

MVP: Noumory Keita (Rana Verona)

Radostin Stoytchev (coach Rana Verona): “A very important result that was also needed from a Semifinal perspective. In attack we did well, especially in high ball situations, with high percentages also in counterattacks and ball changes. We prevented them from entering the series and this allowed us to detach them immediately. Despite a drop in the third, we kept the game under control and closed it out with maturity and clarity. Thanks to everyone and to the audience this evening.”
Filippo Federici (Valsa Group Modena): “Tonight we lacked energy, we made the wrong approach especially in the first two sets. Now let’s try to recharge our batteries immediately and give it our all in Wednesday’s match against Padova to try to gain access to the Semi-finals”.
