Three days to go until the start of the Scudetto semifinals! At Pian di Massiano, preparation continues at full speed: the Block Devils had a preventive session in the gym this morning and in the afternoon focused on serving and receiving on the court.
For President Gino Sirci’s club, this will be the twelfth participation in the Superleague Play Offs: an incredible figure, if compared to the fact that Sir Susa Vim Perugia has been playing in the top Italian volleyball league for 13 seasons: a plein considering the stop, in the 2019-2020 championship, due to Covid.

The black and white team, in its first historic A1 championship, with Boban Kovac on the bench and with the current Technical Director Goran Vujevic as captain, led a season as a protagonist, closing the regular season in sixth place, securing the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup and the quarter-finals of the Play Offs.
Since its debut, Sir has always qualified for the second phase of the championship, the Play Offs, stopping at the Quarter-finals only in two seasons (2012-2013 and 2022-2023) and reaching the Scudetto Final 7 times (and the semifinals 3 times).

Another record number concerns the leader of the Block Devils, coach Angelo Lorenzetti, in his second consecutive season at the helm of Sir Susa Vim Perugia: for the black and white coach there are 17 participations in the Play Offs, with 11 finals under his belt. Coach Lorenzetti has been crowned Italian champion 5 times, including once last season (2023/2024) at the helm of Sir.
