Mirko Crucitti, team manager of Domotek Volley, comments with pride and a hint of regret on the season that has just ended, closed with a playoff semifinal lost against Acqui Terme but full of satisfactions.
“It was a bitter end, obviously, but the glass of the season is more than full, in fact, overflowing”, Crucitti begins. “I don’t know how many people were there in the last match played at Palacalafioree, even more than in the fourth against Lecce: an endless scenario. The semifinal and game 3 were starts with ups and downs for both teams, but I wouldn’t dwell on that. I prefer to look at our season and the important victories.”
Among the most significant goals, Crucitti underlines the relationship with the fans: “The crowd was incredible. Even in the last match, on a weekday, we filled the arena, including the upper ring. This is our pride, the point from which to start again for next year.”
The team manager does not hide his emotion for the team’s journey: *”I thank everyone, the club and the boys one by one. Getting to play the semifinal for A2 was unthinkable at the beginning of the championship. Of course, there is regret for the games 2 and 3 lost in the tie-break, but if we have come this far it is because we have surpassed ourselves.”
