In view of the FIPAV Under 19 National Finals, scheduled from May 13 to 18 in Termoli, and the final phase of the Del Monte Junior League, which will be held from May 30 to June 2, the coach of the U19 team of the Kioene Pallavolo Padova Academy, Giorgio Sabbadin, takes stock of the season and sends a message to his boys on the eve of two very important events.

Coach Sabbadin, what does it mean for you to have gained access to the National Finals in Termoli?

“The National Finals always represent a very important milestone for us. It is one of the objectives that we have set ourselves since the beginning of the season and we know that it constitutes a great moment of growth for the boys. Getting to this point means being able to reap the fruits of the work done throughout the year”.

How would you describe the team’s journey so far?

“It was a growing journey, not without difficulties, especially in the second part of the season, when some events did not help us. In the regional phase, however, we managed to react well even in emergency situations, earning a place among the semifinalists. In the semifinal, we fought openly, then earning access to the regional final. We did not manage to win the title, but we still deserved to qualify for the National Finals”.
