In the second set we had some chances to manage better on high balls and we missed some break points. When we got to the point by point, that detail capable of turning the sets in your favor was missing”.
The qualification for the semifinals issue is over, but this does not in any way affect the path of Petkovic and his teammates during the season that will end on Sunday in Modena.
“There were many difficulties against Milan, like Dusan who was not in good condition at all but still played and I thank him for this: the defeat takes nothing away from these guys. They always held on when no one would have bet on them, they resisted in the difficulties, when they had everyone against them and therefore they deserve only great applause. Closing with a home win or going to the semifinals would have been beautiful.
