Opposite Alessandro Bovolenta and setter Paolo Porro, new signing of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, are among the 18 players called up by Technical Commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi for the second training camp of the Italian men’s national team that will be held in Cavalese, in the province of Trento, from tomorrow, Thursday 22 May to Sunday 1 June, in preparation for the Volleyball Nations League 2025.

Three test matches are scheduled during the camp: Sunday 25 May (4:00 pm) in Munich with Germani, Friday 30 May (4:00 pm) at the Pala Arpad Weisz in Cavalese with Iran, Saturday 31 May (6:30 pm) at the Kioene Arena in Padua with Iran in the Bper Test Match Memorial Pasinato.

An intense program to test tactical solutions and best integrate the new additions in view of the debut in the VNL on June 11 in Quebec City, Canada with Bulgaria.

The Azzurri will debut in the Volleyball Nations League in Canada, in Quebec City (June 11-15) where they will find on their way: Bulgaria, Germany, France and Argentina.

In the second stage the Azzurri will be busy in the United States, in Chicago (June 25-30) to face Poland, China, Brazil and the United States.

In the third week of play, scheduled in Slovenia, in Ljubljana (July 16-20), the men’s national team will take to the field against: Serbia, Ukraine, Slovenia, and the Netherlands.

The Final Eight will be played in China, in Ningbo from July 30 to August 3.
