The second addition to the Consoli Sferc Centrale del Latte is the setter Filippo Mancini. 20 years old, 188 cm of flair and technique, with an excellent serve and solid in defense, he enthusiastically takes up the baton from Simone Tiberti and the challenge of leading the team in the coming season.
After the path that from the youth sector took him to Serie C and Serie B with the Ravenna jersey, in 2022 he was affiliated by Massimo Bonitta to the first team alongside Manuel Coscione in A2 and took over after the latter’s transfer to Santa Croce. The tucani faced him in two seasons culminating in the final of the 2023/2024 Italian Cup. Already in the circle of the Italian youth national teams and winner of the 2024 Junior League with Consar, he is currently busy in a training camp in Pescara with the National beach volleyball team which he believes is an excellent training to get in shape in Brescia, his grandmother’s hometown.
Mancio describes his year in the Super League at Monza. “It was certainly a formative experience and I would do it all again, even if it was a difficult year, there were different expectations at the start of the season and the locker room suffered from the progress of the championship.
