Born in 2001, originally from Bari, 196 cm tall, Nicola Cianciotta arrives in Taranto after playing for Sir Susa Vim Perugia, with whom he won the Champions League and the Italian Super Cup. An important experience, which allowed him to experience the atmosphere of the great European competitions up close and to compete with a very high level of play.

During his career, Cianciotta has undergone a significant technical evolution: born as a middle blocker, he then firmly embraced the role of spiker, a role in which he will be employed in the technical project of the next season with the rossoblù jersey.

His career began in Puglia between Locorotondo and Castellana, continuing in Serie B with Taviano and Gioia, then in A3 with Casarano and in A2 with Club Italia, Mondovì and Castellana Grotte. After the jump to Superleague with Perugia, he now arrives in Taranto with the aim of carving out space and responsibility.

His list of achievements also includes important international titles with the youth national team: Under-19 World Champion in 2019 (elected best central player of the tournament), Under-21 World Champion in 2021 and Under-22 European Champion in 2022.

These are Nicola Cianciotta’s words upon his arrival:

“The choice to come to Taranto is based on the fact of having more opportunities to play, to see the field. I knew that the coach, Graziosi, is very good. Taranto is an important place and wants to do well.
