The first Città di Santa Croce International Tournament – Piero Conservi Memorial kicks off tomorrow. The first semifinal will kick off at 5:30 PM, featuring Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena and Cuneo, recently promoted to the Superleague. The tournament’s second semifinal will pit Greenyard Maaseik, a team from the Belgian Serie A (where former player Finoli plays), against Arago de Sete, a team from the French Serie A. Before the two matches, starting at 3:30 PM, the Tuscan club’s youth academy will be presented.

The tournament is international and pits teams from the most important European tournaments against each other. The finals will take place on Sunday: the third-place match is scheduled for 3:00 PM, while the first-place match is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

For coach Francesco Petrella’s team, this will be an important opportunity to appreciate the quality of the work done so far in the preparation phase. There’s still some time to go until the start of the championship, scheduled for October 19th with the away match in Pineto; preparation continues with the goal of raising the team’s playing level.

The Santa Croce tournament will also be an important event for the other three teams participating.
