The Block Devils’ training continues, having resumed training last Wednesday under the vaults of the Pian di Massiano facility in Perugia. The morning of this second day of the first full week was divided between individual talks, prevention work in the gym, and assessments. In the afternoon, the usual technical training on the taraflex was held, supported by the Juventus club’s Serie B players.

This first phase of preparation, in addition to refueling the muscles and gradually getting back into the rhythm of playing on the court, is very useful for the “newcomers” to gain familiarity with the arena and integrate with the group and staff. Among this season’s newcomers is the youngest ever on the roster: Italian-Cuban setter Bryan Argilagos (with an Italian passport). Born in 2007, he just turned 18 on January 26th. He will be playing his first season in the top men’s volleyball league with Sir Safety Perugia: “The first few days were definitely tough and demanding, especially considering the start of preparation. I’m making a good impact. I have to integrate with my teammates. The coaching staff is very understanding and helps me a lot.”
