Beppe Cormio (Lube Volley general manager): “A new season is in the starting blocks. The group will gather on Thursday morning, while tomorrow the seven athletes present will undergo their usual medical checks. We have also worked to avail ourselves of interesting young foreign players in the preseason, as happened in the past with Tenorio, that is, profiles capable of accompanying us in the preparation and, potentially, returning in the future. At this stage we are not announcing names, but we will talk later about temporary additions during the journey towards the 2025/26 SuperLega. On the eve of the gathering, there is great enthusiasm: the summer results of the registered players speak for themselves, starting with the silver medal in the VNL of an immense Fabio Balaso, of Mattia Bottolo, who is now a certainty, and of Giovanni Gargiulo, who came to Civitanova as a gamble and is now rapidly rising. Mattia Boninfante stood out for his performance in the national team and reached the podium at the Universiade. Excellent indications have also come from Matteo Talevi, a young player from the youth team who We’re closely monitoring a key player who won continental gold with the Italy U16 team. Noa Duflos-Rossi won the U19 World Championship with France, finishing the competition as the top spiker. The 17-year-old Frenchman has just arrived in Civitanova, and I want to see his growth prospects. I can’t wait for him to take on a tough competition like the SuperLega, given that he’s been dominant in his categories so far and has room for further improvement!
