Another Bulgarian player joins the Consar team for the next A2 championship. This is 25-year-old Hristiyan Dimitrov, opposite from Varna where he was born on November 2, 1999. In Ravenna he brings the experience and volleyball knowledge acquired so far in a career that has seen him travel a lot: he has played in Iceland, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, as well as in his country. In December 2022 he arrived in Italy, in A3, at Wimore Parma and, after a stint in his homeland at Pazardzhik, he returned there in December 2023 to play in Smartsystem Fano, with whom he won the playoffs to go up to A2, and in Sarlux Sarroch, last year. For him, therefore, it will be the first season in A2 and in Ravenna he will find Samuil Valchinov as a teammate, with whom he is sharing the training camps with the two groups of the Bulgarian national team: the senior one trained by Gianlorenzo Blengini, and the B selection directed by Francesco Mollo.
“I am very excited at the idea of being able to play my first A2 championship – these are the first words of the new opposite hitter from Ravenna – and to play in a reality like Ravenna, a city that breathes volleyball and a historic club. I spoke with Grozdanov and Georgiev, who have been there, and they spoke highly of the reality of Ravenna, they told me how beautiful it is to play and work in Ravenna.
