It arrived just before the Christmas holidays, in 2023. And it immediately changed things: not only that season, but also the next one. Now, however, it is time to take other paths: Leonardo Ferrato and Belluno Volley are separating, at the end of a seventeen-month journey. A period in which the setter, originally from Due Carrare, left his mark with his positivity of spirit and thought. And his direction, aimed at developing high-intensity volleyball.
Ferrato is keen to say goodbye to the white-blue environment: «The human relationships created with teammates, the team and those who gravitate around Belluno Volley certainly remain. There are many important people, who experience the arena every day with us, with a unique passion and dedication. My greatest thanks go to them».
The director looks back: «With respect to this experience, it would be reductive to mention a particular moment, but I will always carry in my heart the pre-match speeches of our doctor, Marco Sommavilla, and the energy that was created in that moment. A special “thank you” goes to him for the kindness and teachings he has always given us».
Ferrato closed his year under the net, in Campania, with a game 5 of the playoff finals ennobled by 9 points, the result of an attack, 4 winning serves and as many blocks: «A greeting and a thank you to the fans, in particular to those who supported us even in the last away game in Sorrento – he concludes -. And he never stopped believing in us».
