Gabbiano Farmamed Mantova’s first experience at the “Paolo Cois” trophy, held in Sarroch (Cagliari), now in its second edition, ended in fourth place. In addition to the hosts, Sarlux Sarroch, the event also featured Cus Cagliari and Domotek Reggio Calabria, the latter being the only representative from the Blue group at the start.
The white and blues’ semifinal match took place against Cus Cagliari, and ended 3-0 for the islanders (25-22, 25-23, 25-16 the partial scores), with good indications in any case for coach Radici, who fielded Selleri-Baldazzi, Pinali-Gola, Andriola-Simoni and Sommavilla as libero, with El Moudden and Maiocchi still sidelined with knee and ankle problems, while Baciocco was seen back on the field, almost fully recovered.
