A mixed performance in the first week of October for the team led by coach Licchelli, which raised some eyebrows among Galatone’s management, especially for the lackluster performance against Pag Volley Taviano.
If the friendly against Gioia del Colle, a team revamped in a best-of-five-sevenths format, had shown signs of success, producing some technically important plays and leading the game to a 2-2 draw, the same couldn’t be said for Galatone’s match against their Salento cousins, Taviano. A focused and balanced Green Volley team prevailed in the first set (25-15) with a sprint start against coach Passaro’s Bari team, which featured all its new signings and the reconfirmed Pierri and Milan.
