Gioiella Prisma Taranto welcomes Pino Lorizio, the new sports director of the first team. A figure of great experience and charisma in the Italian volleyball scene, Lorizio arrives in this new role with enthusiasm and determination, supporting the coach and the general manager Primavera in the construction of the new season.
For Lorizio this is the first experience in the role of sports director, but his deep technical background and long militancy in national and international volleyball make him a reference figure for the rossoblù company. He has already started working side by side with the coach and the general manager Primavera, contributing in a concrete and constructive way to the definition of the new season.
“After almost 500 benches in Serie A and almost 400 in B1 I was thinking of starting a career as a manager but I didn’t think I would immediately have the opportunity to do it in a big club. I have to thank President Bongiovanni, President Dott.ssa Zelatore and D.G. Vito Primavera who, by offering me the role of Sports Director at Prisma, made my decision to leave the bench easier. I can only be happy to start this second life of mine in volleyball right in Taranto with Prisma Volley where I was assistant coach from 1999 to 2001 in the first historic Promotion and the first year in A1. With Coach Graziosi we have the same way of seeing and experiencing volleyball and this is a good starting point for a great season. If everyone rows in the same direction I think Prisma will be a protagonist in the next A2 championship!”
