“We needed these three points, we needed revenge.” These are the words of Giulio Parrini, a young Domotek spiker, after the away win in Modica, a long-awaited and crucial match for morale and the ranking. “We found a difficult court, like all the away games I’ve ever played there,” Parrini explains, “and we did very well, as Enrico Zappoli and Coach Polimeni have already said, to overturn the home court advantage and prevent them from growing as a team. We managed to bring home an important victory.”
This victory gives the team momentum ahead of their next match at the Palacalafiore. Parrini has no doubts about the atmosphere in Reggio Calabria: “I’m very happy, as I’ve said many times: it’s a fantastic, beautiful city, very kind people, an excellent team, excellent athletes and teammates.”
And despite the presence of experienced players, the young spiker still sees plenty of room for growth: “There’s a lot of room for growth for the entire group. We can work on the team’s cohesion on the court, and we young players can certainly work to contribute to the team.”
