The last match of the 2024/2025 season is scheduled for Saturday evening at 8:30 pm at PalaFrancescucci for Campi Reali Cantù. Coach Alessandro Mattiroli’s boys will face Cosedi Acicastello in Game 2 of the Round of 16 of the DelMonte® Coppa Italia Serie A2. The Sicilians won 3-2 in Game 1, in case of victory the Cantù team would be able to tie the series, and Game 3 will be played on Monday 21 April at PalaCatania. If the Lombards manage to advance to the next round, they will play all the remaining knockout matches away, as they will be played at the home of the team ranked higher at the end of the Regular Season.
Coach Alessandro Mattiroli presents the challenge as follows: “Matches against them are always complicated. In Game 1 they were very good during the tie-break, making a partial of a few points at the beginning of the set and maintaining it until the end. If we manage to impose a good rhythm with our service, we will certainly be able to have our say”.
