Last Saturday’s 2-3 victory at PalaCosta was certainly precious, but there is still one last step to guarantee the historic passage to the quarterfinals of the Del Monte Coppa Italia A2. The Banca Macerata Forum is preparing to turn the lights on again and host Consar Ravenna for Game 2 of the round of 16: the appointment is set for Saturday 12 April at 5:30 pm.

The Romagnoli, on a negative streak of three games (two defeats in the playoffs against Siena and the one in Game 1), faced defections both before and during the game, but they still need to be respected for what they have shown throughout the season. Consar is a team full of talent, capable of fighting until the last point and will certainly give their all to try to play for qualification at home in the decisive game.

Macerata is fully aware of the difficulties that this match entails, both from a technical and character point of view. The team will have to push from the first point to secure a place in the quarter-finals, a very prestigious achievement for the red and whites. As seen in Game 1 and throughout the season, Banca Macerata Fisiomed is inferior to no one: the level of play and cohesion achieved on the court are such that they can cause difficulty for anyone. Closing the series in two games would be a sign of great strength and, at the same time, revenge for the defeat suffered in the tie-break on March 16. But now is not the time to look to the past: we must focus on the present and give everything to achieve this extraordinary goal.
