A week after the success of Valenza that gave them promotion and a return to Serie A2, the time has come for Rinascita Volley Lagonegro to celebrate and to have a well-deserved celebration, which took place in the city dear to Monna Lisa. On Saturday 10 May, with the backdrop of the central Piazza Bonaventura Picardi, captain Fortunato and his teammates collected the hugs and euphoria of a community finally in ecstasy, which has never failed to provide its support even in the most difficult moments of the season.
Before the celebration in the square, the Club and the Mayor of Lagonegro, Salvatore Falabella, hosted journalists, fans and enthusiasts in the Council Chamber of the Municipality for a press conference to greet and take stock, with an eye already turned to the season that will come in the coming months. The meeting was attended by President Nicola Carlomagno, Sports Director Nicola Tortorella, Coach Waldo Kantor and the captain of the red and white sextet, Nicola Fortunato. The mayor opened: “The result achieved by Rinascita represents for us Lagonegresi a feeling of joy and pride. The community lives with suffering the physical distance of the team, but this important milestone burdens us with greater responsibility to complete a commitment, that of completing the works of the Palasport”. Then the announcement: “Thanks to the resolution of 7 May last we have terminated the contract with the previous contractor allowing us to communicate with the other companies present in the ranking and thus re-assign the works.
