Luca Loreti, libero for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, continues his run with the Italian Under-21 national team at the World Championships in Jiangmen, China.
After finishing first in Group D with five wins in as many matches, the Italian Under-21 team will take to the court tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27 (2:00 PM Italian time), to face Korea, who finished fourth in Group B, in the round of 16.
The Italian national team was drawn in Group D with Argentina, Tunisia, France, Ukraine, and Indonesia and won all its matches, losing only one set to their opponents.
Twenty-four national teams participated in the World Championships, divided into four groups of six teams each. At the end of the first round of matches, the top four teams in each group qualified for the round of 16. The subsequent rounds will see the teams compete in the knockout rounds.
