The call of major international volleyball is knocking on Cucine Lube Civitanova’s door. In addition to the imminent closure of the volleyball transfer market and the SuperLega Credem Banca schedules during the three-day event in Bologna, on Tuesday, July 15th, at 12:00 p.m., the European Broadcasting Centre in Luxembourg will host the first step towards the 2026 Champions League with the draw for the first preliminary rounds and the five Main Phase Groups, conducted by the European Volleyball Confederation. The 18 teams that qualified directly from the groups, including Lube, will be joined by two clubs at the end of the preliminaries.

The red and white club will participate in Europe’s premier tournament for the nineteenth time, the fourteenth in the last fifteen years, following last season’s stint in the Challenge Cup, where they reached the Final.

Beppe Cormio (A.S. Volley Lube general manager): “A potentially risky draw, tougher than usual due to the decision to award wild cards. The draw for the established teams in Pot 4 will tip the balance in the groups, with experienced and valuable teams that could cause damage in the groups and influence the final standings!”
