At Cucine Lube Civitanova, there’s great anticipation for their Regular Season debut. Their official return to the field as Italian runners-up at the Eurosuole Forum, the allure of the Marche derby kicking off against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, the imminent presentation of the Badiali Award to Mattia Boninfante, and the anticipation for an unprecedented Monday Night are fueling the fires of passion in the Predators and the red and white giants. On Monday, October 20th, at 8:30 pm, there will be a great show in the stands and on the new taraflex with an elegant parquet effect. The ups and downs seen at the Jesi Volley Cup and the attitude of the team fresh from the World Championships aren’t the least bit concerning to the red and white staff, who are working to field a focused and fierce team.
Max Merazzi (Cucine Lube Civitanova coach): “We’re ready to start the competitive season and face Monday night’s derby against Grottazzolina in front of our home crowd. We’re coming off a long and detailed training program, a process that began on August 20th and was completed with only half the team available. The other half of our players played in a World Cup, so they’re approaching the championship differently. We need to homogenize the group, first and foremost in terms of playing level, to create the right chemistry.
