Young, ambitious and with important experience behind him, Matteo Lusetti is a new setter for Gioiella Prisma Taranto.

Born in 2002, a DOC Modenese and 190 cm tall, Matteo Lusetti is a setter who has burned the stages since he was very young. At just fifteen years old, he made his debut in the top championship with the Modena jersey, the team of his city, accumulating six appearances in four seasons alongside the great volleyball champions.

In 2021 he chose to test himself in Serie A2 with Mondovì, where – at just 19 years old – he played 24 games, 78 sets and scored 25 personal points, including 18 aces and 4 blocks. His performances convinced CT Fefè De Giorgi to call him up with the senior national team.

After a season of further growth in Bologna, he arrives in Grottazzolina with whom he conquers the historic promotion to Superleague, winning both the championship and the A2 playoffs. Last season he wore the Sarroch jersey in Serie A3, continuing to gain experience and leadership.
